The standard smart camera with onboard recognition is VIDAR Smart HDx (U), which features:
- Built-in IR illumination with synchronized flash for ideal imaging day & night
- Varifocal lens, motorized zoom and advanced brightness control for easy setup and automatic day/night switching
- Robust IP67 rated weatherproof metal housing, IK10 impact protection rating
- Available Ethernet data cable and separate power cable for 24V AC power hookup (power supply not included)
- Optional 12pin user cable for external trigger/barrier connection (camera can handle inductive loop trigger input and signal out to barrier control)
- User-friendly IP based browser interface for easy configuration and remote fine-tuning
- Perpetual runtime license for onboard LPR with North American engines reading plates from all US/Canadian/Mexican states/provinces
- Event storage buffer can store thousands of events; data package outputs include raw data results with customizable components
- Event data can be pushed via same FTP/HTTP or pulled via HTTP requests by an external application – more details in the Vidar User Manual and Vidar Install Guide
- Simple onboard permission management feature lets you create up to 5 different permission lists with various rules (e.g. black list, white list, weekend only, or unlimited access), and updates to remove/add a plate can be accomplished via http requests sent to the device
- 3-year hardware warranty and free firmware updates; 1-year engine updates included (optional annual engine updates recommended)
- Optional upgrade model version available for extra charge with integrated single-point laser trigger (distance measurement based vehicle detection hardware), great for sites where inductive loop is not feasible/desired
