VirtualScan™ is a virtual device driver that allows a user to scan documents from within a remote desktop session in Terminal Services, Citrix and standard Windows environments. Additionally, the software allows you to share a scanner on your network, making it accessible throughout your organization. The remote scanning and imaging software is extremely user friendly and is designed to run silently in the background. After initial installation and set-up, there is no need for the user to make any further adjustments – simply use the remote document scanner as you would on a stand-alone desktop. VirtualScan remote document scanning software supports webcams, check scanners and signature pads as well.
VirtualScan remote document scanning and imaging software functions the same as a standard TWAIN driver and communicates directly with your scanner, it remotely replicates the functions of the scanner. The VirtualScan driver interface allows you to control color, DPI, brightness and most other functions of your scanner just as you would from a local computer.
While not complicated, we recommend that the server component installation be performed by your system administrator. Additionally, administrator privileges will be needed for installation.
